Will these foods pack a punch?
With the NFL season underway, many teams are bringing some quirky new menu items to their stadiums, and anyone who’s always wanted to try a cotton candy burrito or a blue Taki corndog will be thrilled with the unorthodox options.
Here are some of the weirdest foods hitting stadiums across the country:
Cotton Burrito
Arizona Cardinals, State Farm Stadium
The Cardinals unveiled a strange new culinary concoction that will be offered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for the 2024 season: a cotton candy burrito.
According to Arizona Sports, it’s filled with Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, marshmallows, Skittles, Mini M&M’s, gummy bears and sprinkles, all wrapped in a cotton shell.
Cardinals senior vice president of media relations Mark Dalton shared a photo and video of the offering, showing a sign for the burrito that describes it as “ice cream and candy wrapped in cotton candy.”
Vienna Beef Jalapeño Cheddar Dog-a-Dilla
Arizona Cardinals, State Farm Stadium
Cardinals fans can get a quesadilla and hot dog as a two-for-one deal with the beef jalapeño cheddar dog-a-dilla.
This mashup has flavorful sausage topped with sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, and onions, all rolled up inside a pressed tortilla.
Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Chicken Tenders
Arizona Cardinals, State Farm Stadium
State Farm Arena will also offer Flamin’ Hot Cheetos chicken tenders.
The dish includes chicken tenders covered in nacho cheese and crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Arizona Sports reported.
Blackbird Spice Popcorn
Baltimore Ravens, M&T Bank Stadium
Ravens Levy’s concessions company teamed up with McCormick of Maryland to create a Blackbird Seasoning blend, which is described as salty and peppery with a subtle heat.
The Ravens are using this mix in both a chicken dish and popcorn.
Bear Paw Donut
Chicago Bears, Soldier Field
This is not your typical bear claw donut.
The bear paw donut with chocolate frosting has vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, candy pieces, orange and blue chocolate candies, and whipped cream, and Chicago Bears fans can get their paws on this football season.
Spaetzle
Cincinnati Bengals, Paycor Stadium
Spaetzle – German egg noodles – is not usually a stadium food, especially given that it must be eaten with a fork.
But the Bengals put their Cincinnati flair on the German dish, creating a spaetzle filled with goetta bites, beer cheese, red cabbage, apple cider vinegar and whole grain mustard.
Pizza Burger
Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium
Dallas Cowboys fans don’t have to choose between pizza and hamburger anymore — they can just bite into a 16-ounce Angus patty sandwiched between two pepperoni pizzas as a bun.
Also inside is lettuce, tomato, marinara sauce and melted mozzarella, according to The Dallas Morning News.
Flamin’ Hot Fritos Tacos
Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium
Ever wanted beef with your Flamin’ Hot snack?
The Cowboys are bringing fans their Flamin’ Hot Fritos Tacos, made with seasoned beef, topped with salsa, queso afresco, pico de gallo and Flamin’ Hot Fritos.
Frito Sundae
Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium
After Fritos fans eat their Flamin’ Hot Fritos Tacos at AT&T Stadium, they can get a small treat that also features their favorite snack.
Fritos Sundae is Blue Bell vanilla ice cream topped with cinnamon, sugar, caramel, chocolate syrup, sprinkles and beloved Fritos.
Oops! Waffles with all the berries
Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium
The Cowboys have a dessert option that isn’t filled with Fritos, either.
Fans at AT&T Stadium can get a waffle drizzled with homemade berry syrup and topped with whipped cream and Cap’N Crunch Oops! All berries.
Stuffed turkey leg
Houston Texans, NRG Stadium
The Houston Texans already have a smoked turkey leg at NRG Stadium, but this year, they stepped up and filled it.
Dirty rice is now added to the turkey leg, and topped with Cajun brown gravy and green onions.
Strawberry Cheesecake Pretzel Dessert
Houston Texans, NRG Stadium
The Texans put a twist on the classic stadium pretzel.
This one is topped with cream cheese frosting, graham cracker crumbles, a little strawberry syrup, and strawberry Pop Rocks. Yes, Pop Rocks.
Ringer
Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium
The name of this one doesn’t really convey how weird it is.
Everyone loves a good corndog, but a corndog coated in honey and covered in blue Taki crumbs is what makes it The Ringer.
The blue sprinkles go well with the stadium’s color scheme, but whether or not it goes well with the fans’ digestive system is yet to be revealed.
S’mores ‘Load In’ Fries
Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium
This concoction takes the idea of savory potato chips and turns it into a sweet treat.
A bed of chips is topped with chocolate hazelnut, toasted marshmallows and graham cracker crumble.
Tom & Jerry’s Walk Off Corndog
Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium
The newest dish at Arrowhead Stadium is named after the game that won the Chiefs the 2024 Super Bowl: Tom & Jerry.
Tom & Jerry is now a corndog, wrapped in bacon, battered and fried with sweet and spicy cream cheese and finished with spicy cotton candy.
Turducken Loaded Potatoes
New Orleans Saints, Superdome
For those who don’t know, Turducken is a portmanteau combining the words turkey, duck and chicken.
At the Superdome, Saints fans can get a baked potato stuffed with all three meats on the base and topped with lots of cheddar cheese and green onions.
Nacho Duo
San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s Stadium
Dallas Cowboys fans aren’t the only Frito lovers. With an entire Tostitos stand inside Levi’s Stadium, there’s bound to be some sort of Fritos food offering.
This year it’s the nacho duo: a combination of Tostito nacho chips and Frito corn chips, topped with chipotle chicken, guacamole, lime chicharrones, Tabasco cream and jalapeños.
Dog with legs
Seattle Seahawks, Lumen Field
A standing hot dog is an impressive feat in itself, but this one has some extreme extras.
This dog is topped with pickled shimeji mushrooms, native to East Asia, as well as braised short ribs and crispy onions.
Hail Raising Nachos
Washington Commanders, Commanders Field
They’re not just any nachos—they’re hailing nachos.
The Commanders’ Nachos come in a “stadium-sized container” and feature smoked brisket, cheese, jalapeños, onions and barbecue aioli.
